William Albert Cuneo grew up in the Burragorang district, N.S.W. and at Binalong, N.S.W., 185--187-. His father, Anthony Cuneo, knew Ben Hall, and on two occasions father and son were stuck up by the bushranger. W. A. Cuneo left home to work on the railways. He was stationmaster at Thirlmere, N.S.W. in 1891. Later he lived at Stanmore, N.S.W. Cuneo wrote plays, poems, short stories and historic sketches
