  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

    Normand Baker (1908-1955) specialised in drawing, etching and painting street scenes. Trained at John Samuel Watkins School in Sydney, he won the Archibald Prize for a self portrait in 1937, aged twenty nine. Baker produced a large quantity of his work depicting the area around Paddy’s markets.
