    Sir Samuel McCaughey, 1835-1919, migrated to New South Wales 1856, where he became a successful pastoralist. His first property, 'Coonong', Urana, New South Wales, was purchased, 1919, by his nephew, David Roy McCaughey, who, in 1945, together with Samuel McCaughey, established the McCaughey Memorial (Coree and Coonong Research and Training) Institute
