    Neville Chatfield was a supercargo for Burns, Philp and Co. Ltd, traders, from 1902-1916. Sir James Burns, 1846-1923, and Sir Robert Philip, 1851-1922, were partners in the firm of Burns, Philip and Co., which was formed in 1883 by the amalgamation of various businesses in Sydney and Queensland
