    Dr Frederick McKellar came to New South Wales ca. 1838. His eldest son, Charles Kinnaird, 1844-1926, doctor and politician, spelled his name as Mackellar. After graduating in medicine in Glasgow, 1871, he returned to practice in New South Wales. He was president of the New South Wales Board of Health 1882, a member of the Legislative Council and president of the State Children's Relief Board
