    Elizabeth and Helen Motherwell came from Sligo, Ireland to live with their uncle, James Bridgeham Motherwell, a medical practitioner in Melbourne. Elizabeth, 18-- -1937, widow of I.C. Sedden, traveled to England in 1870, on the Lady Jocelyn. She then married a Scottish doctor, Sir Robert Philip. Her elder sister Helen, married George Augustus Warner of Melbourne in 1857
