    1 medal - silver gilt? - 65 x 85 mm.
  • Scope and Content
    Hollow-bodied silver gilt? medal constructed of two convex faces joined by an edge band of cast? floral decoration; surmounted by a floral casting and eyelet for attachment of a chain. Two 2 mm. perforations made in reverse face, separated by 4 mm. Solder marks indicate past attachment of a pin. Hallmarks on obverse and reverse.

    Obverse engraved: "Presented to P. G. Thomas Hasson on the eve of his departure from the Colony of N. S. Wales by the Officers and Brethren of the Loyal Rose of Australia Lodge of I.O.F.M.U., as a mark of sincere regard and respect for his uniform good and upright conduct. Sydney Decr 26 1850"

    Reverse features engraved "eye of providence" motif at top.
