  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

    Massey Stanley's (1902-1979) early life was in Australian journalism as a political reporter, later working in the medical corps in the Middle East during World War II. He was a journalist with the Australian and Pacific News Service before and after World War II. In 1942, he was the Managing Editor of Salt, a fortnightly journal which the Army Education Service published until April 1946, and eventually winning support from the general press. His position as a political adviser came later in life.
