    Osric Burston Notley lived at Maclean on the Clarence River. He was an amateur photographer. Most of the photographs around the Clarence were taken ca. 1910-1919 and those at Norah Head after 1919.

    Notley met his wife in 1915 when she was stationed in Grafton as a telephonist. She was an English migrant. They married after World War I. She usued to travel between Grafton and Yamba on the pleasure boat The Favourite, whose sister ship was The Iolanthe
