  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

    Frederick Arnold opened the Monumental Masonry Works at the corner of Wellington and Regent Streets, Sydney, in March, 1879. In 1915 the firm took over the 'yellow block' quarry in Cascade Street Paddington. In 1967 the firm's head office moved from 53 Regent Street to Cascade Street, Paddington. Herbert T. Arnold, youngest son of Frederick Arnold, was managing director from about 1910 until 1979. The firm ceased trading 1979.
