Letter from John Fraser to his son, 28 April 1943
    "My darling son,
How are you keeping John. Quite well I hope. So sorry I missed seeing you before I left, but as you know I was very busy and left overnight. Anyway my son, I hope to be with you shortly, and we can have a few days out together again. It has been raining here for the last few days, and it certainly makes things miserable. Where I am is typical country, to where the JAPS are, so all we can do is to get used to it.
How is school going. I hope you are studying hard, and being a good boy, as I know you are. Give my love to Grandma, Ella, Tiny & Babe. I hope they are all well & happy.
Well, my son, I will close now, will write you more news next week.
    All my love
    From Daddy"
