    James Scott (c.1809- c.1889). London-based English engraver specialising in mixed mezzotint engravings after 18th- and 19th-century British portrait painters. His most noteworthy prints are of contemporary events and personalities of historical significance.

    1 mezzotint print with black ink on paper, printed from an engraving by James Scott. Print is affixed to a stretched canvas with wooden frame.

    Inscription under print: 'J.A. Stuart, private print. From the original picture in the possession of Benjamin Boyd Esq. to whom this plate is dedicated by his sincere & ever obliged friend J. Lilley.'
