  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

    Eric Wilfred Dunlop, a lecturer at Armidale Teachers' College, researched and published in the field of local history. He was a pioneer in the development of folk museums in Australia and was instrumental in establishing the Museum of Education in Armidale.   • Collection history
    E. W. Dunlop offered these papers to the Mitchell Library in January 1974, further to an earlier consignment located at MLMSS 2639. The material was deposited with the Library by Mrs Dunlop after his death.

    An unfinished typescript work on Blackheath (23 p.); 1 volume of newscuttings on Australian history; 1 folder of miscellaneous manuscript and printed material relating to folk museums in Australia, particularly Armidale, and cuttings re folk museums elsewhere, including correspondence with historical societies; notes for an address to Windsor Historical Society, July 1963 (on cards); 1 bound typescript copy of "The extent and nature of convict influence on N.S.W.", 1933; 1 folder of photographs of Dubbo, Blackheath and Sydney.
