  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

The Scottish family of Just originated in the land in Scotland, between 1687-1689, of two brothers, Baron de Juste and William Juste. They appear to have been in the prime of their manhood; and each probably was accompanied by wife and children. They were Frenchmen, apparently of good social standing; and they had been driven from their homes and the land of their birth, by the fierce persecutions of the Protestant Church of France.
