    Shell disc carved with an indigenous design. Titled on reverse "Relic of Barque Charles Eaton found on Buoydang Island". Includes a newspaper cutting dated 1836 mounted on card.


    In 1834 the barque Charles Eaton was wrecked on the Great Barrier Reef. The majority of the survivors were massacred by Torres Strait Islanders on Boydan Island.
