  • General note

The New South Wales Club, built in 1886, was designed by William Wardell and is noted for its facade made of Pyrmont stone. The two rear wings of the building were demolished in 1973 to make way for a new office tower at 25 Bligh Street. In 1987 the remaining five-storey structure was leased to Parry Corp Ltd for use as its east coast headquarters -- Source: The Weekend Australian, March 7-8 1987
