  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

    Sir Jack Evelyn Cassidy (1893-1975), Sydney barrister from 1923, became King's Counsel in 1938. He was knighted in 1968. Cassidy had an amazing record of forensic successes and outstanding skill as a cross-examiner in all jurisdictions, becoming one of the great advocates of his generation.

    11 maps and plans - Exhibits A-E: Plans of proposed dam on Moomin Creek, Bunna Bunna with maps of the surrounding area relating to a case of Sir Jack Cassidy between Campbell Blockley Jaquet and the Water Conservation & Irrigation Commission, 1959-1960.

    6 original cartoon illustrations in black ink for publication by Lance Mattincon, Donaldson, Jonsson, L.E.S. Dixon and Jean Cullen. These cartoons are part of the censorship case undertaken by Cassidy in 1944 between Consolidated Press Ltd. and the Commonwealth of Australia and others.
