Grace Cuthbert Browne, medical practitioner, was Director of the New South Wales Division of Maternal and Baby Welfare 1937-64 and was a part-time lecturer in Maternal and Child Health at the School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, University of Sydney 1946-64. She was was president of the Australian Federation of Medical Women and president, Australian Federation of University Women. She was appointed MBE in 1959 and awarded an honorary doctorate of medicine by the University of Sydney in 1986. She died in 1988.
