    Leather bound album with clasp and gilt embossed decoration of Government House, Sydney, on cover.

    Album boards are decorated with chromo-lithographic illustrations of Australian scenes, with apertures for photographs. Contains 12 cabinet card, 42 carte-de-visite, 4 tintype, and 2 half-tone print portraits. No identifications are visible on photographs secured in album; 'E. Millar 15/1/3' on verso of one cabinet card portrait of a woman, detached from page.

    Photographic studios represented include Sydney studios Boyd, Tuttle, Chubb & Praeger, W. Norton, and Aw. Chandler; and Eather & Co., Nyngan.

    All are studio portraits except one family group of 9 in front of a house, and one photograph of a man seated at a campsite reading a newspaper.

    Some mounts are torn; approx. 23 photograph apertures are empty.
