    Stan Williams (1906-1988), was an accountant with BHP when he was transferred from Newcastle to Wollongong in 1950. A prominent Catholic layman, he was a founding member of the Knights of the Southern Cross (Port Kembla Branch). Williams was actively involved in the Unanderra Parish, serving on committees and maintaining records of parish developments. For many years he and his wife Joan, hosted the annual parish picnic on their historic homestead, 'Nudjia", at Unanderra
