Noel Hunter Sherrie, draughtsman of Sydney, New South Wales was born in Albury and enlisted at the age of 22, 17 Jan. 1916. He embarked from Sydney on board RMS Malwa on 22 July 1916 and served in Egypt. He was wounded at Gaza, 4 May 1917 and taken prisoner by the Turks. He died while a prisoner of war at Damascus Hospital, Turkey, 8 June 1917 - Scope and ContentIncludes 2 letters from Noel Hunter Sherrie, 6th Light Horse Camel Corps, 31 Dec. 1916 and 30 Jan. 1917.
