    Victor Roy Massey (1896-1959), composer, was educated at St Andrew's Cathedral School in Sydney. He served in the A.I.F. in France during the First World War. He was organist at St Cuthbert's Naremburn, All Saints' Woollahra and St Mark's Darling Point.

    His father, Joseph Massey (1855-1943), was organist at St Andrew's Cathedral from 1900 to 1923.
