  • Scope and Content
    Seal consists of a sheep, wheat, and sailing vessel topped by royal crown surrounded by rays of the sun. Inscription around edge of seal reads: 'Van Diemen's Land Company 1825'. Heavily decorated metal base. Detachable carved ivory handle. Label on top of handle reads: 'The British Antique Dealers' Association Certified For Customs Purposes Only Over 100 years old' Accompanied by a broken wax impression on piece of cardboard.
