    Note on paper wrapper reads: 'Piee of the life-line used at the wreck of the Ly-ee-moon off Green Cape 30.5.1886. Given me by Miss M.N. Champney 13/4/1928 who, according to note on accompanying envelope, 'knew the Postmaster near Green Cape at the time'. The note continues: 'She got it from Rev R Park[?] who was minister at Pambula and he obtained it when he visited the scene of the wreck just after the occurrence'
