Susanna Mary North was the eldest daughter of Edward J.C. North, Esq., J.P. [i.e. Edward James Campbell North (d. 1883)], of Carcor [i.e Carcoar]. She was killed in an accident involving the Bathurst and Carcor mail at King's Plain, N.S.W. in November 1855, aged 7 years. She was the granddaughter of Captain Samuel North, the first Water Police Magistrate in Sydney.
