A note with the spearhead reads 'Spear made by the tribe of the "Blond Eskimo" at Bathurst - Inlet, Arctic Region north of Canada. The copper is pure native metal, from one of the immense Copper-reefs in that region, it was presented to me by George Wilkins, the Arctic Explorer in 1917' and is signed 'L. Hopf' - Name
