James and Elizabeth Murray and their 11 children arrived in Sydney from Langholm, Scotland aboard the Templar on 9th March 1843. James Murray had married Elizabeth Wilhelmina Reid (1797-1879) in 1818. They took up land leases at Mt. Lambie, N.S.W., calling the sheep and cattle property Warrawang. When James Murray died in 1856 Warrawang continued to be managed by his descendants until 2004. Ref: Library correspondence file - Scope and ContentSERIES 01
