1 military medal - silver - 3.5 cm diameter

Obverse: Profile head of Queen Victoria wearing a diadem. Legend: Victoria Regina 1848. W. Wyon (engraved). Reverse: Queen Victoria on dias, placing laurel wreath on the head of the Duke of Wellington, who is kneeling. At lower left, in front of dias, is a small figure of the British lion dormant. Legend: To the British Army. In the exergue is '1793-1814'. The medal is suspended by a plain swivelling suspender from a crimson ribbon with dark blue borders. On the ribbon is a bar engraved with the word 'Vittoria'

The medal was awarded to Thomas Walker for his participation in the Vittoria action, 1813

Accompanying this medal is another bar, gold, attached to the same type of ribbon, which was awarded to Thomas Walker for the St. Sebastian action, 1813. These actions both took place in Spain during the Peninsular war under the leadership of the Duke of Wellington.
