    Lid is broken

    Note by donor Mrs J. E. Ferguson, nee Connell, reads "Colonel J.C. Buxton of Bedgebrook Manor - Grantham England gave Lieu. H.C. Ferguson this shell snuff box of which he had several. The shells were brought from Aust'lia by Cap. Cook on The "Endeavour" early 1700- & given to the G.G. grand-father of the above made into snuff boxes..."
