    Camillus Travers is the son of P. L. Travers, author of Mary Poppins. He gave these notebooks to his mother as a boy and they were used by her for recording his schooldays and their holidays spent together, as well as other events over this period.
  • Scope and Content
    This collection consists of 4 diaries:

    1. Diary, 22 Sept. [1948]-8 Nov. 1949. Ring bound journal inscribed inside front cover 'Beginning 12th May, 1946', but the date of the first entry is 22 September 1948

    2. Diary, 10 Oct. 1948-25 July 1949. Leatherbound diary inscribed on first page 'To Mummy from Camillus' and next page is inscribed 'Given to me early summer with a peach in a bag. Record of our schooldays together. C's first year at school.'

    3. Diary, 3 Aug. 1949-31 Dec. 1949. Inscribed on first page: 'C. gave me this for my birthday 1949 - Gstaad - Hotel Olden.'
