    3 spades - 2 gold, 1 gilt silver
  • Scope and Content
    a. Temora to Wyalong Railway, 17 May 1902
    Solid gold spade made in the shape of a miner's shovel by a Wyalong jeweller, R. Spiers of Wyalong gold, with handle made of Wyalong wood, presented to E.W.O'Sullivan by the Wyalong & District Railway League.

    b. Manly Pittwater Tramway, 1901
    Solid gold with train in enamel, and enamel inscription 'Manly' on handle made by W. Farmer & Co., Hunter Street. The enamelling is said to have been the first piece of this class of work to have been made in Sydney. .

    c. Extension of tramway to Watson's Bay, 1901
    Gilt silver, originally had a medallion in gold and enamel with a lighthouse design. Presented to E.W. O'Sullivan by the residents of Vaucluse.
