  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

Coalition of Resident Action Groups (C.R.A.G.) was formed in 1971, by a dozen Resident Action Groups, to talk over common problems. Its initial function was a forum to discuss individual campaign experience. The groups discovered they had many common problems and the groups could lend mutual support to one another in their campaigns. The groups fall into four main categories:

    1. Town and planning groups, concerned with zoning
    2. Park and conservation groups
    3. Rates and taxes groups
    4. Social issues groups, concerned with the rights of tenants and community broadcasting.
