• Scope and Content
  Heart-shaped tribute painted in watercolour on white paper.
  
  Headed by inscription 'To Sir William Dixson', followed by the expression of 'Our appreciation' and 'high esteem' and the wish that Sir William Dixson enjoy good health. Dated '18 April 1939' and 'Signed: Margaret Champney, Sarah Travis, Jennie Kilday, Benjamin Caddey, Joseph Dempsey'. Tribute illustrated with wattle design. At lower left hand corner 'W. C. Penfold & Co Pty Ltd. Sydney.'
  
  Lightly-carved wooden frame. Two pieces of paper pasted on back give brief description, in W. Dixson's hand, of the service given to him as well as the date and manner of death or departure of each of the signatories. Rest stand attached to back of frame by a black linen tape.
