  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

    At dawn on 5th May 1865, the bushranger Ben Hall was surrounded by the police at a place by the Billabong Creek near Forbes NSW and shot to death.
    On the following day, 6th May 1865, an [sic] Magisterial Inquiry was held at Forbes, presided over by the Police Magistrate, William Farrand.
