Danny Eastwood was NSW Aboriginal Artist of the Year in 1992. In 1993 he won the National Aboriginal artist of the year award and in 2008 the Parliament of NSW Indigenous Art Prize for his work 'My reconciliation'. He has created murals for various Sydney councils and is a cartoonist for the Koori Mail. He also teaches visual arts in schools and prisons.
