  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

The original church of St. Paul at Wahroonga was built on land opposite Aaron Pearce's on Peat's Ferry Road, Hornsby in 1862. It was an unlined wooden structure built from timber hand cut by parishioners. The stone Church was built from locally quarried stone and dedicated on the 26th November 1881 by Bishop Barker, who laid the foundation stone in 1879. Additions were needed, and these were dedicated on the 15th June, 1900. The Church was further enlarged in 1967.

In 1969 this watercolour by George Collingridge hung on the wall of the Church vestry.
