    Corporal J. D. Wilson, Blacksmith of Shepparton, Victoria, served with Headquarters Pioneers, 37th Battalion, later 39th Battalion, A.I.F. He served in France and Flanders in the region of Armentieres, Houplines and later the Somme, sometimes attached to Transports from 22 Nov. 1916 to 9 Nov. 1918, when he was invalided to England. He returned to Australia 16 May 1919 on HMAT Shropshire
