    John Harrison Wheat, of Woollahra, New South Wales, was born in Sale, Victoria, 3 Aug. 1893. He served as a rating on the submarine AE2 from Feb. 1914 to 30 Apr. 1915 when it was sunk in the Sea of Marmora. He was a prisoner of the Turks, 1915-1918, working on the Baghdad Railway and was repatriated to England on the hospital ship Kanowna, Nov. 1918
