- Scope and ContentThe circular plaque at left, has profile of Cook looking to right with legend '200th Anniversary 1770-1970'. the plaque at right shows an aeroplane, buildings, Sydney Opera House, a ship, a merino sheep, and a wheat stalk. Superimposed at upper right is scene showing Cook landing in Botany Bay. The legend is 'Captain Cook Bi-centenary celebrations N.S.W. Australia'. The presentation plaque reads 'Presented by the Government of New South Wales to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the discovery and exploration of the East Coast of Australia by Capt. James Cook in 1770'.
