    The engravings are pasted down on paper and bound into a volume.
    Some engravings reproduce representations of business premises, and activities, coats of arms, logos. Also included are copies probably intended as book illustrations.
    Some specimens appear to have been taken off damaged plates, and may be later printings.

    Plates for some engravings are filed at R 178.

    Some of the plates are reproduced in W.C. Penfold & Co., 'A century of progress...' ; other specimen plates are in W. Moffitt, 'Specimens of engraved...' (PXB 411). An article about the latter collection by J. Broadbent also discusses Moffitt (PXn 581).
