Herbert Lee, of Bathurst, was admitted to practise law in 1889 and soon entered into partnership with Percy Colquhoun, forming the law firm of Lee and Colquhoun in 1891. They later joined with Edward Bassett forming the law firm of Lee, Colquhoun and Bassett which had offices in Orange, Carcoar and Sydney. This association ended in 1905.
