    It is believed that the drawing is probably an imaginary sketch from plans shown in Richardson, William 'A catalogue of 7385 stars ... at the observatory at Paramatta, New South Wales, founded by Lieutenant-General Sir Thomas Makdougall Brisbane'. London : Printed by William Clowes and Sons for His Majesty's Stationery Office, 1835.

    Signed and dated 'S.W.L. 9.3.32' at lower right between frame lines. At lower right of sheet is another signature 'By S.W.Lucas'. Titled at upper and lower centre. Notes beneath the title read 'founded by Sir Thos. Makdougal [sic] Brisbane. K.C.B. F.R.S. building completed 2.5.1822'
