Hanhart is probably an English publisher. Walton possibly English, there is a William L. Walton in the Hobart directory for 1867-1868 but no profession is given. - Date note
Henry Grant Lloyd travelled to Tasmania 1840 and educated at Christ College, Bishopbourne. Then travelled to Sydney and became a pupil of Martens (Ref.: Moore, William, 'The story of Australian art : from the earliest known art of the continent to the art of to-day'). Views of Hobart do not help in dating the work as New Wharf was still called this in 1870/1880's. St. David's was pulled down in 1874 (Ref.: Cyclopedia of Tasmania, page 239) and the Davey Street Congregational Church completed in 1857 - Subject
