Part of the correspondence relating to the renovations at MLMSS 1960. -

On the original contract plans written in ink 'approved 5th July, 1888, (signature illegible) City Building Surveyor', at the bottom written in pencil 'Sheerin and Hennessy' who were the architects. The electrical drawings were by Drake and Gorham, electrical engineers, 1889, on the drawings are also written 'Coffee Palace' the reason for which could not be established. Henry E. Budden was the architect between 1926-1937 for additions and refacing the Hotel. Architects Henderson & Sherlock did the development and additions 1964-1967.
