This selection from the artist's Heavy Industry series, made when artist-in-residence at Wollongong City Art Gallery and Newcastle Region Art Gallery, represents BHP iron and steel workers and their industrial environment at Newcastle and Port Kembla steelworks.

The three charcoal drawings numbered ML 1020, ML 1023 and ML 1024 form a triptych.
