These drawings are probably those referred to by J. Gould in letter to E. P. Ramsay, 23 November 1867. The volume came from a great grandson of Gould, Dr. G. Edelsten. It is described in detail in the 'Emu', November 1952 and in the 'Victorian Naturalist' April 1955.
Drawings are on sheets of drawing paper mounted on the pages of the volume - Signatures / Inscriptions
One of the plates is signed 'J. H. Gould', another 'J. H. Gould del', others are initialed 'J. H. G.' and three have the initials followed by 'del'. There is some variation in the handwriting. - Attributions / conjectures
J. H Gould is presumably Dr John Henry Gould, son of John Gould - Subject
