It is believed that the statue was a maquette for the Collingridge sculpture now (1983) placed on front of Lisgar House, Carrington Street, Sydney. It was commissioned by St. Joseph Building & Investment Society, Elizabeth Street and moved to LIsgar House ca. 1933. Left hand holding chisel broken off when received in Mitchell Library.
