    Title as above lettered in pencil on mount below sketch, and also in ink on cut out mount. At lower right in pencil is 'Mr. Turnbull's bush home. Seven Creeks'. Thomas Turnbull was at Faithfull's Creek, near Seven Creeks (a branch of Broken River) Euroa from May 1845 to October 1853, and at Broken Creek, Benalla, January 1855 to April 1873 (see Billis & Kenyon, 'Pastoral pioneers of Port Phillip', Melbourne, 1932.

    Framer's label from previous frame (not received) now pasted to back of mount.
