    Leo Schofield was the first Sydney food writer to have a newspaper column reviewing restaurants. He began his influential weekly reviews in 1971 and published the guide 'Eating out in Sydney' from 1974. In 1984, he established the Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide.

  • Scope and Content
    The scrapbook mainly comprises clippings of Leo Schofield's weekly columns of Sydney restaurant reviews published in the Sunday Telegraph called 'Leo Schofield Restaurants' (17/9/1972 - 30/9/1973) and 'Eating with Leo Schofield' (7/10/1973 - 21/4/1974). Also includes clippings of 'Tucker' articles by Sam Orr [Richard Beckett] from Nation Review (Dec 1972 - 26/7/1974) and two restaurant reviews by Ted Moloney (29/10/1972, 7/4/1974).
