f.34 H.M.S. Rattlesnake - White masts - Cap Owen Stanley. Unsigned. Title top right corner. Dated from other drawings in same book, and from year H.M.S. Rattlesnake arrived in Sydney under the command of Captain William Hobson. In 1836 Owen Stanley was in command of H.M.S. Britomart and it was not until 1846 that he took command of H.M.S. Rattlesnake, arriving in Sydney in 1847. However, the words ‘Cap Owen Stanley’ were possibly written at a different time from rest of title and drawing itself.
